The JTAC is a ‘State of the Art’ Training Facility for HVAC/R professionals, located in Brampton, ON. The JTAC provides training to all UA787 members, apprentices, or licensed journeymen. In addition, the JTAC also offers, Gas Technician Licensing – G3, G2 G1, Ozone Depletion Prevention Training, and Brazing Certifications.

  • Basic / Intermediate / Advanced Apprenticeship Training
  • The 5-year 313A apprenticeship requires 960 hours of in-school plus 240 hours of night school and 8,040 hours of on-the-job training with a licensed journey person
  • Gas Technician Licensing – G3, G2 G1
  • Ozone Depletion Prevention Training
  • Brazing Certifications

As you know, training and education is one of the advantages that separates ORAC members from the rest of the competition. ORAC and the JTAC have worked hard to provide high quality education and training. Training schedules are sent to each Local 787 active union member via mail usually in the fall and spring and are also posted on the JTAC website for each member to sign up for a course. In an effort to improve communication to our ORAC members, we will be sending out updated training schedules and reminders of open training spots at the JTAC. That is why ORAC is pleased to introduce the Educational Calendar.
